1. What is the benefit of the online bike shop for me?

In the online bike shop, you will find the latest BMW bikes that are available now from our dealers' stock. If the bike is in stock at BMW, the name of the dealer is not indicated.

2. Why is it not possible to configure these bikes?

These are bikes that have already been manufactured. But, as with a new order, you can of course add optional accessories at a later date. Please contact your dealer to discuss your individual requirements.

3. Can I only buy pre-configured bikes or bikes that have already been manuctured from the online bike shop?

Yes, only bikes already in production. The bikes shown are models that are available at short notice from BMW Motorrad dealers or from our stock.

4. If I want to add more accessories to the bike, can the dealer do that on site as well?

Yes, your dealer will be happy to arrange for your new bike to be fitted with optional accessories. Once you have made your reservation or purchase*, your dealer will contact you to discuss the details.

*Depending on the procedure in your country: reservation or purchase

5. Once I have found a bike I like, what happens next?

1. Click on "Continue to booking" or "I am interested".

2. Enter your contact details and, if the bike is available for reservation, your payment details for the reservation fee (€100).

Once confirmed by the dealer, the reservation fee gives you access to a 7-day reservation of the bike, during which time it cannot be sold to another customer.

Please note: only certain bikes are available for reservation.

3. You will receive a confirmation by email after you make the reservation or submit your request.

4. The dealer will contact you as soon as possible, within one business day.

6. When will the BMW Motorrad dealer contact me?

As soon as you fill in the data transmission form, a notification is sent to the dealer, who will contact you within 24 hours.

If you make a reservation, your reservation fee is transferred to the dealer. After verification of payment receipt, the dealer will contact you (again within 24 hours)

7. How is the bike delivered?

1. The dealer will contact you after your reservation/request is received.

2. You will then agree on the delivery date for the bike and all other necessary formalities with your dealer.

3. You then simply sign the order form... and collect your new bike from your dealer.

8. Can I test ride the bike before I buy it?

In principle, this is possible! If the dealer cannot offer you this particular bike for a test ride, they may be able to offer you a similar model for a test ride. Please ask them about this.

9. How does the vehicle registration work and can I keep my number plate?

You should speak with your dealer about registering the bike; they will take care of some of the paperwork. Unfortunately, you cannot bring your own number plate.

10. Is it possible to finance or lease the bike?

Yes, just indicate your interest in financing or leasing in the online order form. Your dealer will then give you all the details.

11. Is it possible to trade in my used bike?

In principle, yes. Simply enter the essential information about your used bike in the online order form. Your dealer will explain the procedure for taking back your bike. Please note: the dealer is the sole arbiter of whether or not to accept the trade-in of your used bike.

12. How long before I can get my bike back?

The time between ordering online and delivery of the vehicle varies. Consult your dealer for more information. We always do our best to deliver your bike as quickly as possible.

13. I have already booked a bike. If I change my mind, will I get a full refund of my booking fee?

A reservation does not constitute an obligation to buy: only the signature on the order form confirms your purchase. The booking fee of €100 will be deducted from the final total order amount. If you do not confirm within 7 days or if you wish to cancel your booking, the €100 will be refunded.

14. What is the purpose of a reservation and when do I have to pay the reservation fee?

For some of the available bikes, you can make a reservation request for a fee of €100. Once the dealer accepts your request, the bike is reserved for you for 7 days. This is particularly useful for bikes in high demand or where stocks are low. The dealer will then contact you within one business day to arrange a date to sign the order form.
