One of the largest rivers in Asia, the Maek Hong River originates from the Himalayas and flows through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and empties into the sea in Vietnam. A part of this river flows through Thailand, starting at the Golden Triangle, which is a popular check-in spot for motorcycle riders as it marks the border of three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. We will begin our journey in Chiang Mai, taking a route that winds through high mountains along the Myanmar border to the northernmost point of Thailand. Then, we'll ride along the beautiful Maek Hong River, stopping to take photos at Wat Rong Khun or White Temple a stunning and highly popular temple. Importantly, the architect who designed Wat Rong Khun is also a GS rider, just like all of us.
